Outbound Store Fulfillment
Cut out of stocks 50% while reducing inventory in DCs and stores
Most distribution center managers have to orchestrate inbound DC deliveries and outbound store delivery schedules without knowing store inventory positions or actual store demand. That means when supply is constrained, scarce product is allocated without regard to POS data and the relative importance of demand. Goods don’t go where they’re needed most.
With One Network for outbound store fulfillment, you can transform your store replenishment to a demand-driven process. DC managers use frequent POS updates, combined with intelligent management of available DC inventory, to respond to demand at the last minute.
One Network users achieve up to 50% reduction in out of stocks while simultaneously reducing overall inventory in the DCs and stores. You can increase same store sales by capturing sales that you already own.
Outbound Store Fulfillment Capabilities
- Replenish stores based on demand for both promotion and turn items. Incremental replenishment planning creates far shorter lead times than traditional batch replenishment processes.
- Use POS data to drive decisions. Capture frequent POS updates during the day. Net individual store forecasts (based on DC forecasts and promotion trend analysis) against actual demand signals.
- Automate store order creation. Calculate store orders based on the netted forecast and store inventory position, including inventory in transit to the store.
- Manage perpetual inventory for the stores.
- Allocate DC inventory based on last minute match of supply and demand. Run a “fair-share” allocation of available inventory, based on the priority of store orders, before each wave planning and pick operation in the DC.
- Use postponement strategies to deal with supply and demand variability. Up-to-date demand information and rapid response gives you flexibility to remedy potential supply disruptions and stock-outs.
