Integrated Inbound Logistics
Optimize utilization of dock door and yard capacity
What is Integrated Logistics?
Integrated Inbound Logistics means bringing together all of your inbound logistics processes. You will see inventory, orders, and constraints so that you can more effectively prioritize orders and shipments. You will integrate dock door and yard management, to simplify appointment rescheduling and move goods more efficiently to meet real-time demand.
One Network provides a base transaction platform for integrated order management, shipment management, yard management and dock door scheduling. It enables integrated inbound logistics through:
- Comprehensive visibility into the entire inbound logistics process
- Visibility into multiple types of capacity constraints at the warehouse
- Fully constrained replenishment
- Integrated dock door and yard management
- A dynamic re-prioritization engine
- Multi-party collaboration around orders, shipments and appointments
Comprehensive inbound visibility
Buyers, warehouse managers and carriers have real-time visibility into all aspects of the inbound supply chain. Buyers and the automatic replenishment algorithms consider capacity constraints when creating orders. You will see:
- The state and location of every order and shipment
- Inventory positions throughout the inbound supply chain
- Capacity constraints at the warehouse (dock door and yard constraints) and at upstream facilities such as ports
- Projected arrival times
- Backhaul revenue vs. inventory vs. stock-out potential
Integrated dock scheduling and yard management
One Network provides visibility into dock door, warehouse and yard constraints. It considers these constraints to automatically reschedule dock and yard appointments as demand and supply patterns change.
Continuous reprioritization of orders and shipments
In capacity-constrained situations, you need to schedule the highest-priority orders and shipments first, rather than defaulting to a first-come, first-served approach. One Network provides continuous prioritization and reprioritization of inbound orders and shipments.
Coordination and collaboration
Often the simple act of rescheduling requires an “ok” from multiple parties. This takes time, and often results in increased dwell time and accessorial charges. One Network lets buyers, warehouse managers, carriers, vendors and transportation managers collaborate online to quickly confirm schedule changes and make other critical inbound logistics decisions.
